Road Test Day

What happens when you book Road Test Day.

We pick you up, help you settle in with a warm-up drive, take you to the DMV, and provide our training vehicle for the road test. Here’s the step-by-step.

Student drive test warm-up
1

Warm-Up Drive

We pick you up for a 1-hour warm-up drive to help you settle your nerves and get comfortable behind the wheel before heading to the DMV.

What to bring

Don’t forget these on test day.

You are responsible for bringing all required documents. The DMV will not let you test without them. Confirm current requirements on the DMV website before your appointment.

  • Valid California instruction permit
  • DMV appointment confirmation
  • Behind-the-wheel completion certificate (teens)
  • Glasses or contacts if required on your permit
  • Any additional DMV-required documents

Didn’t pass?

A failed road test is not the end.

It happens more often than you think. You may be able to retake the road test after the required waiting period. We offer focused practice lessons to help you review the areas that need work so you feel more prepared the next time.

Book Practice Lesson — $180

Bring your score sheet

If you have your DMV score sheet or remember what you were marked on, bring it to the lesson. We’ll use it to guide practice around the skills that need more attention.

Next step

Not sure if you’re test-ready?

Start with a practice lesson to find out. Or book Road Test Day if you already have your appointment.
